I FONTANABLU nascono gradualmente, fino a trovare l’attuale formazione nel gennaio 2019. Si parte dalle canzoni di Matteo Fontanabona, che vengono arrangiate e riarrangiate con nuova orchestrazione, fino a trasformarsi in qualcosa di diverso, qualcosa di collettivo e al contempo personale.
Il cantautorato denso di venature western e reminiscenze psichedeliche allarga allora il suo orizzonte verso generi diversi. Alla base c'è l’ironia, talvolta malinconica, dei testi e un atteggiamento intimamente punk.
